ArborApril 10: The Snuggle is Real

[10] Today’s prompt is The Snuggle is Real
Journal two trees growing tightly together.
Going off-book here and digging into the memory folio for today. (I prefer to work from direct observation, but these two trees growing not only near but into each other! are seared into my memory.) Also, so many questions! They live at the Beginning Sunrise Trailhead in the Sierra, along the Pacific Rim Trail. Atop a hill in a mountainous area, they have an incredible view. And they make the view incredible…the way they kiss and the interlacing of their branches…revisiting these trees for today’s challenge was a blessing. I hope they know how deeply they live in my heart. If you have the opportunity to visit the area, go introduce yourself to this couple. You will be thrilled to meet them.
Meet this tree-couple:
- At Beginning Sunrise Trailhead, part of the Pacific Crest Trail; 39°36‘51.1″N 120°39’58.9″W, Sierra County, California
ps: You can be sure to see these trees during the 2025 Wild Wonder Sierra Retreat. Check it out and book your spot.
