Each year, the Design Division at California College of the Arts hosts a design lecture series featuring leading designers and topics on the state of design.

Kicking off the series this year was August de los Reyes. What an amazing designer. He did a fantastic talk on his career journey, how accessibility is related to universal design & inclusive design, the inspiration of games and closed with proposing 5 new pillars of design for the future. Along the way we learned about the Windows keyboard key, bedding, remotes, powers of 10 and yes, bendable straws.
