I did this talk at the start of week 7 of Tradecraft, a 12-week post-professional program for learning user experience, growth traction and sales for high-growth companies.
Students in the program were in full-on in team mode, working together to battle ambiguity and bring new product innovations to life. Which is really, really hard. This presentation shows the Balanced Team model, introduced to me by Tim McCoy of Pivotal Labs (@seriouslynow) and Janice Fraser of Luxr (@clevergirl, with a few ideas of my own for how to distribute time and effort.
